OSHA General Industry Course
Gain the credentials you need to identify, predict, and prevent hazards in the workplace. Our fully Online OSHA Certification provides comprehensive safety training aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Labor. Established by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, OSHA writes and enforces safety regulations that protect workers across nearly every private-sector industry in the United States.
OSHA’s General Industry standards — found in 29 CFR Part 1910 — cover everything from hazard communication and personal protective equipment to machine guarding, electrical safety, and emergency action planning.
Employers in industries ranging from food production to logistics frequently require the 30-hour card as proof of safety awareness for supervisory roles. Some states and municipalities incorporate it into contractor prequalification requirements.
Beyond compliance, the training builds practical skills: recognizing hazards before incidents occur, understanding workers’ rights and employer obligations, and knowing how to respond when something goes wrong on the job.
This self-paced course delivers all 30 hours through narrated lessons, interactive scenarios, and knowledge checks. There are no scheduled sessions — you set the pace, and your progress is saved automatically.
All modules are built around OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910 General Industry regulations. The program includes both required topics and elective modules to reflect your workplace’s specific hazard profile.

FAQ
No. OSHA does not directly deliver training to workers — it authorizes trainers and training providers to deliver Outreach Program courses aligned with OSHA standards. This course follows the OSHA 30-hour general industry curriculum and issues a completion certificate upon passing.
The final assessment requires a minimum score of 70% to pass and receive your certificate. If you don’t pass on the first attempt, you can retake the exam at no additional charge.
There is no mandatory federal renewal period for the 30-hour certificate itself. Some employers require refresher training on a schedule of their choosing. Your certificate is issued with the date of completion, which employers use to track their own renewal timelines.
Your account and course access remain active indefinitely. You can work through the 30 hours over days or weeks — the platform saves your progress automatically so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Most employers who require a “30-hour OSHA card” accept completion certificates from accredited online providers. We recommend confirming your employer’s specific requirements before enrolling, as some industries or union agreements may specify a particular training format.
OSHA’s general industry standards apply to manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, healthcare, retail, agriculture, and most other industries that are not residential or heavy construction. If your workplace isn’t a construction site, this is the applicable OSHA standard.
