How You Will Be Assessed NEBOSH HSW
The NEBOSH HSW Award uses an open-book examination format, allowing learners to demonstrate their understanding of health and safety principles in a realistic, scenario-based context. There is no closed-book exam — the assessment has been designed to be fair, inclusive, and reflective of real workplace situations.
Assessment Method
Open-Book Examination (OBE)
A scenario-based exam completed at home or in a supervised environment. Learners have 24 hours to submit their responses once they access the paper.
Pass Mark
45% to Pass — 65%+ for Merit

Results Timeline
Results in 6–8 Weeks
