- Accident recording and reporting

- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Assist in minor injuries such as small cuts, minor burns and scalds, grazes and bruises and small splinters.

The qualification aims at supporting learners interested in becoming workplace emergency first-aiders. The qualification integrates crucial aspects such as the duties and responsibilities of the first aider and the skills to evaluate an incident. The first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and knowledge to support a casualty and provide first aid for minor injuries are also covered in this qualification.
